This is my film magazine. I used the Empire conventions such as the price and date inside the 'm' on the Empire title. I also used their caption 'the worlds biggest movie magazine'. I wanted to follow the conventions of Empire because it is so iconic. When researching Empire magazine I noticed that it's layout was quite varied which allowed me to be creative when creating my magazine. Overall I am happy with my Magazine cover, I think it follows the conventions of Empire magazine but also has it's own unique look that all Empire magazines have. 
This was the main inspiration for my magazine. I felt like I needed to research another magazine. The other two Empire magazines I researched were really unusual and I wanted to look at a more conventional one. This magazine was the inspiration for the text around my character. I really liked the text around wolverine in this one. It is really well organised and is set behind him to make him seem powerful. The fact that is surrounds him seem dominant. I wanted the same affect for my magazine. His head also covers the title like mine, this, again makes him seem power full and important and I wanted the same effect.
