This is the second version of my poster. I think it is greatly improved. I went for a more conventional approach of just using one image and having the poster in portrait rather than landscape. I like the white smokey effect that this image has it helps to create a mysterious atmosphere. I achieved this affect by using a filter in photoshop. I also like the text that I included at the bottom of the page, it is one of the conventions of film posters they quite often have this kind of text with all the credits in it. It advertises the people involved with the film as well as the film companies. I would have liked the "Darkness is Alive" text to stand out more and the masked figure in the window is a little bit lost. However overall I think this poster has more impact than my first version and looks more professional
This is the first version of my film poster. I tried to break conventions with this film poster. I tried to use two images on the same poster and it didn't work as well as I had hoped. I think it does have a quirkiness that could be quite eye catching but it doesn't really look professional enough. I liked elements of this poster such as the 'if darkness is alive text with the burned affect around it. After making this poster I realised that I needed to just use one image rather than putting two together and be more conventional. I decided to make a second version of this poster aiming to improve it.
